About the Role:
As a Social Worker based in our Eastern Adelaide clinic, you’ll play a vital, hands-on role in improving the lives of veterans (DVA) through face-to-face engagement. Working within a supportive, multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals, you’ll contribute to a service that values empathy, respect, and support.
In this role, you’ll deliver short-term interventions, practical assistance, and client education, while facilitating referrals that connect veterans to broader services that support their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. Your insight and experience will help guide clients through life’s challenges, empowering them to build resilience and thrive.
We also welcome and encourage creativity in how you engage with the veteran community. Whether it’s hosting informal group coffee catch-ups, leading expressive art or music therapy sessions, or developing new initiatives to foster social connection, this role offers the freedom and flexibility to bring your ideas to life—and to create meaningful moments that make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver face-to-face consultations on-site with flexible weekday hours (typically 8am–4pm, with earlier or later shifts available)

Work closely with other health professionals to ensure coordinated care
Foster connections within the veteran community to build rapport and trust
About You:

Experience preferred
Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Committed to the wellbeing of veterans and their families
Warm, empathetic, and confident in face-to-face interactions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
