The Role

A State Government Agency is seeking a Management Accountant (VPS5) to support the financial planning and modelling of key technology projects and digital services. This role is offered as a contract through to the end December 2025, with a potential for extension.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate cost models for digital services, projects, and emerging capabilities
• Provide financial input into business case development and technology investment planning
• Monitor budgets, forecast spending, and analyse cost variances
• Partner with delivery and finance teams to refine costing structures

About You

• Strong experience in management accounting, cost modelling, or financial planning
• Familiarity with digital/technology project environments and service delivery models
• Skilled in communicating financial advice to technical and non-financial stakeholders
• Strong analytical and Excel/modelling capabilities
• Public sector or large-scale organisational experience preferred
