We are seeking a vibrant, committed and compassionate Administrator to join our Youth and Communities Team. Based at the Kings Meadows Recreation and Community Hub this role assists with the administration of the facility, its hiring, Vinnies Van Service, Shower and Breakfast Service and our Youth Programs.
With a strong focus on program administration, this role includes contract/license management, rosters, diary management, and maintaining registers and systems. Based on reception, the Community Programs Administrator will be the first point of contact for those accessing the hub. Creating and maintaining volunteer, member and stakeholder relationships is a key part of this role.
Our successful candidate will need to be highly organised, thrive in a fast-paced people-facing role, proficient in MS Office Suite and enjoy collaborative problem solving.
With a blend of varied administration-based tasks within our programs and creating and maintaining strong connections with our Volunteers, Members and the community, this role provides an ideal balance for those seeking more than a desk-based administration role.
This role is offered part-time, 9.30am till 2.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Essential Requirements
Experience in the social or community services industry, preferably in a not-for-profit organisation.
Demonstrated high-level administration capabilities.
A positive team player with a solutions-focused mindset.
Ability to work in partnership with our Members and Volunteers, providing support and mentoring to assist in delivering on the purpose of the Society.
Competent with Microsoft applications, with the ability and willingness to learn new applications and systems.
Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities, thinking ahead and identifying potential issues, while adopting a flexible approach as required.
Exceptional and adaptable customer service and communication skills.
Knowledge of and willingness to further learn about social justice issues.
Strong commitment to confidentiality and an understanding of privacy principles.
Ability to build, foster and manage relationships with key stakeholders and other like-minded organisations.
Willingness to assist with event management and/or attend occasions where called on to represent the Society.
Motivation to be part of the greater Society Team and collaborate appropriately.
Fundamentally, a can-do attitude and commitment to the values of St Vincent de Paul Society in achieving our purpose.
The successful applicant must hold a current compliant National Police Check, along with a valid Working with Vulnerable People Card or the ability to obtain. You must also hold a Driver's License with no restrictions.
