Are you an experienced Mental Health Nurse looking for a unique and rewarding opportunity? We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated nurses to take on correctional health contracts across Tasmania and Victoria.

The Primary Mental Health Nurse provides evidence-based, comprehensive, and professional mental health care within a correctional setting. This role focuses on promoting the mental wellbeing of individuals in custody and plays a key part in the prevention, early intervention, and management of those at risk of self-harm or suicide.

Work Details:

Pay rates: Competitive, above-award hourly rates

Contract lengths: 6–12 weeks (with opportunities to extend)

What We're Looking For:

Current AHPRA registration as an RN or RMN

Minimum 2 years of recent mental health experience in Australia

Previous experience in correctional, or high-acuity mental health settings preferred

Strong communication and resilience in dynamic environments

National Police Clearance

Corrections or custodial clearance
