About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Marketing Officer to manage and promote the CareSearch and palliAGED brands. Working under general direction, you will lead the development and delivery of marketing and communication strategies, with a focus on maintaining a strong social media presence. A key aspect of the position is the ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences. In collaboration with the CareSearch Director, Senior Research Fellow, web team, and content researchers, you will ensure clear and consistent messaging across all channels. You will also oversee the graphic design integrity of both brands and supervise casual staff supporting marketing activities. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful national health projects that provide trusted information to those working in, or impacted by, palliative care.
About the RePaDD Centre and the National Palliative Care Projects
The Research Centre for Palliative Care, Death, and Dying (RePaDD) is nationally known for its research and projects which seek to make a difference to the care provided at the end of life. We are responsible for national palliative care projects that focus on improving palliative care education and training for the primary care, acute care and aged care workforces and raising awareness of palliative care and advance care planning. This includes the funding of national palliative care projects CareSearch/palliAGED and ELDAC.
As part of the CareSearch/palliAGED team you will develop promotions, communications and digital resources around palliative care and care at the end of life. Your skills will help patients, carers and families and support the health professionals and aged care staff providing their care.
About You
You will hold a Diploma in a relevant field or possess equivalent experience, education, or training in digital marketing, communications, or social media. You bring a strong background in coordinating and managing projects, underpinned by excellent administrative and organisational skills. You're confident working independently while also thriving in collaborative team environments. Your creativity and innovation are key strengths, especially in developing engaging social media content and graphic design. You have a keen eye for detail and are comfortable preparing written communications, reports, and media content. Your interpersonal and verbal communication skills enable you to build positive relationships across all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders. You are proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes across marketing and communications projects. Experience in the health or aged care sector is highly regarded.
