Prolube have a Strategic Partnership with Petron Corporation that specialise in Open Gear Lubricants for mills, kilns, shovels and draglines. Petron lubricates over 75% of all shovels in the copper mining region in southwest USA, 90% of the shovels in the taconite business in the USA and 50% of all shovels in Chile copper/ gold market.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lubrication Technician to join the Prolube Lubricants Mining team. As the Lubrication Technician & Sales Manager, you will be responsible for expanding sales and providing Lubrication Technical Services throughout Australia with a few focus on the Mining, Cement and Sugar Industry.

Key Responsibilities

Set and execute the sales strategy to achieve sales targets

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities

Providing Lubrication & Technical Services

Prepare and present regular sales and technical reports to senior management and customers

Must be willing to travel throughout Australia

Significant hands-on operation incorporating an infrared thermometer, stroboscope, and visual inspections.

What we're looking for:

Degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) or diploma qualified with experience in a technical engineering role.

Comprehensive experience in Lubrication and lubricant knowledge

A high level of organisation and experience in working autonomously

Excellent computer skills, with good skills in preparing engineering reports and training presentations.

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Candidates who possess the following will be highly regarded:

Tribology qualifications i.e. Noria or ICML certification

Experience or qualifications in Vibration, Thermography or NDT.

Certificate IV in Training

Audit experience

Gear inspection experience
