About the Business:
The Standpipe Golf Motor Inn is a well-established and busy motel in Port Augusta South Australia, featuring 86 well-appointed accommodation units and an on-site golf course. The property caters to both corporate and leisure travellers and is known for its professional service and scenic setting.
Position Overview:
The Office Manager will be responsible for the efficient coordination of administrative, clerical, and front office operations at the motel. This is a hands-on role, ideal for an experienced and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee all front office and administrative functions, including reservations, reception, and guest services
Manage and supervise clerical and administrative staff, including rostering, training, and performance monitoring
Maintain effective record-keeping systems for bookings, accounts, HR records, and compliance documentation
Liaise with external service providers, suppliers, and guests to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Monitor and manage office supplies, systems, and processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Assist in preparing operational reports, budgets, and financial summaries as directed by senior management
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation
Coordinate communication between housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen, and reception teams
Support the General Manager with project management and implementation of administrative policies and procedures
Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in an administrative or office management role, preferably within the hospitality or accommodation sector
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, guest-oriented environment
High level of computer literacy including MS Office Suite and booking/property management systems (e.g., RMS Cloud, RMS Pay, SiteMinder or similar)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Sound financial acumen with ability to perform accounting and payroll functions
Understanding of customer service principles in a motel/hospitality setting
Qualifications:
Completion of formal qualifications in business administration or a related field is preferred
Relevant work experience in a comparable role may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications
