The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our Finance team in Tweed Heads. In this role, you will provide essential financial management, governance, and administrative support across our organisation. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
This is a casual role to assist with end of year reporting with a view to more permanent employment in the new financial year.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile income and bank transactions daily, weekly, and monthly
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial activities and audits
- Manage tenant receipts, bonds, and property-related reconciliations
- Support financial reporting and funding body claims
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and special projects
What You’ll Bring
- Certificate III in Accounting/Business or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations
- Proficiency in MYOB and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of confidentiality and data integrity
- Current Driver’s Licence and satisfactory criminal record check
