About the role
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO START IMMEDIATELY
The Accounts Officer will support the Finance team by managing key financial processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and debt collection. This role also involves preparing essential financial reports such as paid and GWP Bordereaux, stamp duty documentation, and triangulations. Based in Sydney, this temporary position offers an opportunity to contribute to accurate financial operations and reporting within a dynamic consulting environment.
Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions
• Oversee debt collection activities to maintain healthy cash flow
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, including paid and GWP Bordereaux
• Handle the preparation and reconciliation of stamp duty and triangulation reports
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and queries
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records in compliance with company policies
• Assist with general finance team tasks and ad hoc reporting as required

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ideally within a finance or accounting team
• Strong knowledge of debt collection processes and best practices
• Experience preparing financial reports, including paid and GWP Bordereaux, stamp duty calculations, and triangulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Previous experience working in a temporary or contract finance role is advantageous
• Based in or willing to work onsite in Sydney for the duration of the contract (approximately 2 months, ongoing)
