ESO Role Details
St Joseph's School Port Lincoln is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Support Officer to work across our Primary and Secondary School. This position involves supporting individual students and small groups with diverse learning needs, under the direction of the classroom teachers and Inclusive Education Learning Leader.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that reflects the Catholic ethos and Josephite tradition of our school.
The successful candidate will:
Actively support and contribute to the Catholic identity and mission of St Joseph's School Port Lincoln, inspired by the Josephite tradition of justice, compassion and service.
Provide in-class and small group support across Primary and Secondary School to assist students with a range of learning, behavioural, and social needs.
Work Collaboratively with classroom teachers, the Inclusive Education Learning Leader and staff to deliver personalised support strategies that enhance student learning outcomes.
Demonstrate initiative and creativity in engaging students in their learning while supporting their wellbeing.
Display strong Literacy and Numeracy skills to support student learning across key curriculum areas.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, staff and families.
Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development provided by the school.
Willing to complete required screening and onboarding process, including undergoing a Catholic Education Screening Check, Working with Children Check, First Aid training and Responding to Risk, Harm, Abuse and Neglect training.
Additional Information
While the preferred arrangement is a full-time position of 27.5 hours per week during school hours, there is flexibility to negotiate full-time or part-time hours. It is desirable applicants would be available to work a minimum of 3 days per week. We encourage interested candidates to contact the school to discuss flexible working arrangements.

Playgroup Co-Ordinator Role Details
St Joseph's School Port Lincoln is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Playgroup Co-Ordinator commencing 21 July 2025. This position is offered on a permanent basis for 3 hours per week (Fridays, 8:30am – 11:30am) over 39 weeks of the year.
Applicants are welcome to apply for both the Education Support Officer and Playgroup Co-Ordinator roles concurrently, as there is potential for these positions to be combined.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that reflects the Catholic ethos and Josephite tradition of our school.
Appointments are subject to Working with Children and Catholic screening clearances. St Joseph's School reserves the right to interview and appoint prior to the closing date.
