We are seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Plumber - Leading Hand to join our Geelong branch. In this role you’ll lead by example, ensuring team safety, productivity and quality workmanship while undertaking a range of commercial and industrial plumbing tasks.

About the Role

This role is hands-on and includes overseeing works on-site, mentoring staff and contributing to a positive, productive team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with Kennedys’ policies, procedures and safety standards on-site.

Provide leadership through mentoring and by setting a high standard of workmanship.

Foster a positive, supportive work environment and encourage teamwork.

Assist with resolving on-site disputes and addressing performance issues as required.

Review building plans and specifications to determine plumbing layout and material requirements.

Undertake a variety of plumbing tasks including general maintenance, hot water repairs, clearing blockages and scheduled services.

Support project works including below-ground civil works and fire service installations.

Adhere to all relevant codes, standards, and regulations during installations, repairs and maintenance.

About You:

You’ll bring strong technical ability, sound leadership qualities and a collaborative approach to working within a team environment.

Skills & Experience:

Experience in water distribution and wastewater disposal systems across residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Solid knowledge of relevant building codes, legislation and industry regulations.

Ability to work effectively alongside other trades and contractors.

Strong leadership, mentoring and team-building skills.

Effective communication, negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.

Analytical thinking and sound decision-making skills.

Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Essential Criteria:

Certificate III in Plumbing (or equivalent qualification) from a recognised post-secondary institution.

Manual driver licence.

Working with Children Check.

Work Safely at Heights training.

EWP under 11 meters.

Permanent work rights in Australia.
