About the role

This is a crucial full-time role within Flint Group Australia Pty Ltd, based in Dandenong South, VIC. As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and ensuring the company's financial health and regulatory compliance. Reporting directly to the General Manager Australia and New Zealand and, line reporting to the Group Chief Financial Officer.

What you'll be doing

Manage the end-to-end accounting and financial reporting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management

Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports

Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes, and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies

Act as a key business partner, providing financial guidance and support to operational departments

Implement and maintain robust financial controls and systems to mitigate risks

What we're looking for

Qualified accountant (CA or CPA) with 8+ years of post-qualification experience

Extensive experience in a similar Financial Controller or Senior Accountant role, preferably within a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment

Proven ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail

Experience in implementing and managing financial systems and controls

Proficient in the use of SAP is a must.

Proficient in SAP FI/CO modules, advanced Microsoft Excel (including macros and VBA).

High Level of Excel skills creating and updating complex spreadsheets

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required

Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand, tax legislation
