Our client is a Tier 1 client in the Financial Services sector. They are seeking a seasoned Test Manager / Program Test Manager with strong leadership skills and proven experience managing testing functions across complex finance systems and enterprise platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the end-to-end test strategy, planning, and execution across multiple workstreams, ensuring high-quality delivery of program outcomes within budget and timeline constraints.
Responsibilities:
Lead the test strategy, planning, coordination, and execution across large-scale finance system implementations and upgrades.
Manage testing for multiple projects or a program comprising various systems (e.g., ERP, GL, AP, AR, Payroll, Financial Reporting, etc.).
Oversee the development and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT phases.
Engage with key stakeholders including Program Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Finance SMEs, and external vendors to align testing efforts with business goals.
Working with an onshore and offshore testing team, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance oversight.
Define and track quality metrics, defect management, and test progress, ensuring risks and issues are escalated and mitigated proactively.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including test planning, stakeholder management, test data preparation, and result analysis.
Ensure test environments and data are appropriately managed and aligned with test phases.
Support go-live readiness, cutover planning, and post-implementation validation.
Requirements:
8+ years of experience in Test Management roles, with at least 3 years leading finance system testing.
Proven leadership in program-scale testing environments, ideally in financial services, banking, government, or large enterprises.
Strong understanding of financial processes and systems or SAP.
Extensive knowledge of testing methodologies, tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Zephyr, TestRail), and defect lifecycle.
Experience managing multi-vendor and geographically distributed teams.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery models.
ISTQB Certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
