The Role:
We’re seeking a compassionate and reliable Female Support Worker to assist a sociable older male participant living with an acquired brain injury (ABI), memory loss, and mental health challenges. He enjoys being out in the community, following the footy, and collecting coins. The role involves personal care support (including assistance with showering and applying lotion), medication administration under a restrictive practice, and companionship. The ideal candidate will be confident, speak clear English, and bring warmth and consistency to their support. Experience with ABI is helpful but not essential.

Role Overview
We’re seeking Female Support Workers to support a 67-year-old Male who resides in Melton South with Personal Care, Community Access and tasks related to Activities of Daily Living.
With regular ongoing shifts that typically include 10am–6pm weekdays and 10am–3pm weekends (occasionally split depending on appointments). This is a great opportunity for Support Workers seeking regular work with a Participant who is seeking a friendly familiar face.

This is a gender-specific role under the Equal Opportunity Act due to the personal care and cultural needs of the participants.
Shifts Available:
🕢 10:00 AM – 6:00PM Weekdays
🕝 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Weekends
Additional shifts may also be available to support other participants—perfect if you're looking to pick up extra hours!
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care including assistance with showering, grooming, and applying lotion.
- Administer medication safely in accordance with a restrictive practice plan (medications are stored securely).
- Support community access by accompanying the Participant to appointments, activities, or outings.
- Promote social engagement through conversation, companionship, and shared interests.
- Encourage independence and capacity building in daily routines and decision-making.
- Monitor wellbeing and report any changes in mood, behaviour, or physical health.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support provided, incidents, and participant progress.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Cert III or above in Disability, Individual Support or similar OR relevant experience.
- Experience in supporting NDIS Participants with personal care and community access.
- The Right to Work in Australia
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- All required NDIS Commision Training Modules
- First Aid and CPR
