About the Role:
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Trainer and Assessor to deliver and assess the Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, with a focus on mechanical specialisation (e.g., fitting, turning, CNC, machining).

This is a Full-time/Contract position, ideal for an industry professional who wants to share their knowledge and support the next generation of tradespeople.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and compliant training sessions to students (in-person or blended)

Conduct structured and evidence-based RPL assessments

Assess practical and theoretical components in accordance with the training package requirements

Support and mentor students to achieve learning outcomes

Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student progress

Participate in validation and moderation activities as required

Essential Criteria:

Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or higher) with mechanical specialisation

TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40122 (or equivalent)

Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience (current or recent)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organisational and time-management abilities

Commitment to compliance and continuous improvement

Desirable:

Experience with classroom and online delivery in an RTO setting

Experience with assessing RPL files
