Our Government client is currently seeking a Senior Procurement Officer at the APS 6 level, for a 12 month contract.

About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to manage ICT-related procurement. This role involves conducting procurement activities using best practices and sound judgment, identifying and mitigating procurement risks, and providing high-level advice on procurement matters. The successful candidate will work flexibly and apply critical thinking in a dynamic team environment.

Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have experience in government procurement and possess the following skills;

• Manage ICT related procurements
• Conduct procurement activities using best practices and judgment to make decisions on procurement and related activities that are fundamental to the day-to-day operations of the Information Services Division
• Identify, manage, and mitigate procurement risks to meet organisational obligations and maximise business opportunities
• Provide high level advice on procurement related matters across the Information Services Division
• Work with flexibility and critical thinking in a team experiencing change

Qualifications and Experience:
Qualification requirement – Cert IV in Procurement and Contracting (PSP40616)

Desirable:

• Sound understanding of PGPA ACT and CPR.
• Understanding of the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) guidelines and utilise portal for sourcing ICT good/service including software renewal and ICT labour hire.
• Review Procurement documentation and guide stakeholders throughout end-to-end procurement process.
• Manage a shared mailbox, respond appropriately and effective record management.
