Our Federal Client based in Canberra currently have the requirement for an experienced APS6 Governance Officer to join their team.

This position is contracted for a 12 month period to (July, 2025 - June, 2026) with a possible extension for a further 12 months.

12 month Contract

37.5hr per week (8.30am to 5pm)

NV1 Clearance (Minimum) & Police Check

About the Role:

Scheduling meetings, Drafting correspondence for review, Collating packs & taking accurate and detailed minutes in meetings

Organising and maintaining paper and electronic files

Tracking the status of project documentation

Providing information to stakeholders and, where relevant, referring queries to the correct committee stakeholders

Working both autonomously and collaboratively in a team ensuring high time management skills to have required tasks completed.

About You:

It is essential that you have:

NV1 Security Clearance - (Ability to obtain and maintain prior to commencement)

Police Check

Australian Citizenship

2 - 3yrs Experience within a similar position (Federal Government Desirable)

Be approachable and build and sustain positive relationships with stakeholders.

Handle sensitive information with tact and discretion, maintain confidentiality and adhere to the APS Code of Conduct and values.
