S&S Produce Pty Ltd t/a Sacca’s Fine Foods is looking for someone who can join our enthusiastic team to lead and manage a supermarket team.
Within this role you will be responsible for supporting the management team in maximising the overall financial performance of the store. Your operational experience and staff development skills will allow you to motivate your team to deliver consistently high standards of customer service
Description of role
· Plan and coordinate daily retail activities to ensure smooth operations, including staff scheduling, store layout, security, and visual merchandising.
· Develop and implement marketing strategies and advertising campaigns across digital and traditional platforms; conduct in-store promotions, upselling, and customer engagement initiatives to boost sales and retain customers.
· Maintain high customer service standards, provide expert advice on product use, and handle customer feedback and complaints professionally.
· Determine the appropriate product mix using sales data and market trends; manage stock levels, demand forecasting, and purchasing policies to ensure quality and availability.
· Analyse market and competitor data to set pricing strategies; manage financial records, review expenditure and sales reports, and prepare and monitor budgets to meet profitability goals.
· Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff; allocate tasks, manage rosters, and implement ongoing staff development and training programs.
· Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, consumer laws, and other relevant regulations; implement theft prevention and risk management strategies.
· Build supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, resolve supply issues, and use retail software to manage operations and generate performance reports.
· Analyse customer buying behaviour and retail trends to refine product offerings and store strategies, ensuring competitiveness in the market.
· Maintain high level of customer satisfaction, engagement and liaison with the local community and business partners.
· Formulate pricing policies, review merchandise and decide the additional promotional material and authorise clearance sale.
Eligibility Requirements
1. Minimum certificate IV-level qualification or equivalent in the relevant field.
2. Recent minimum of 1 year of post qualification experience working as a retail manager.
3. Ability to lead, motivate and supervise a team.
4. Good verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
6. Ability to drive sales, meet targets and implement sakes strategies
7. Ability to liaise with both staff and management
8. A flair for merchandising
9. Problem solving ability
10. Ability to multitask, prioritise responsibilities and maintain a well organised store environment.
