The Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, your responsibilities will be wide ranging with some of the main tasks for this role being (but not limited to):
Monitoring compliance and facilitate improvement to the HACCP / Food Safety program.
Laboratory testing and support, calibrating instruments, data entry and assisting with updating quality documentation for HACCP and GMP.
Work closely with the food manufacturing Production team to ensure that cleaning, quality and sampling regimes are strictly adhered to (validation and verification of hygiene cleaning and GMP, proactively assist Production personnel to resolve quality issues).
Investigate customer queries and complaints including undertaking of investigations, addressing corrective actions and reporting.
Internal auditing and maintenance of NCR system.

Who we are looking for :
We are ideally looking for individuals that above everything can demonstrate enthusiasm, an eagerness to learn and a true want to grow their career in this field. Ideally coming with a track record already gained from an in-house Quality role within the Foodservice, Beverage or FMCG manufacturing industries, to be considered for this opportunity, we are seeking to hear from applicants who therefore possess:
Bachelor of Food Science and Technology qualifications.
Some experience in Quality Assurance gained from career experience specifically within the Food Industry in Australia is preferred, but not mandatory.
Experience in HACCP, Food Safety Management Systems, Internal & External Auditing, Food Safety.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong knowledge of Food microbiology.
High Energy and highly motivated.
A pragmatic approach to problem solving.

As the Edlyn site is based in the northern suburbs with no immediate access to public transport close and available, access to your own transport for the daily commute to the site, will also be highly beneficial (with plenty of free on-site parking available).
