About the role

We are seeking a friendly and professional Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at Sandown Veterinary Clinic in Springvale, VIC. This is a full-time position that will see you play a vital role in the smooth running of our busy veterinary practice. You will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing excellent customer service and administrative support to ensure a positive experience for both our clients and their beloved pets.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming clients and their pets to the clinic in a warm and friendly manner

Booking appointments, managing the clinic's schedule, and handling client inquiries efficiently

Providing administrative support, including data entry, filing, and managing client records

Handling payments and managing the clinic's cash flow

Assisting the veterinary team with any other tasks as required

Ensuring the reception area and waiting room are kept tidy and well-stocked

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably within a veterinary or healthcare setting

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, patients, and the veterinary team in a professional and empathetic manner

Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Proficient in using computer systems and software, including appointment scheduling and client management systems

A genuine love for animals and a desire to contribute to the well-being of our furry patients
