The position will initially be located at the Werribee Campus, working alongside the dynamic Wyndham Tech School team while the Brimbank Tech School is being constructed. From early to mid-2026, the role will be located at the Sunshine Campus.

Brimbank Tech School is part of a network of soon to be 16 Tech Schools across Victoria, which aim to prepare students for the jobs of the future, equip them with the skills to thrive in a digital world, and inspire them to create a better future for themselves and their communities. Tech Schools are hosted on the campuses of higher education institutions or TAFEs, and are funded by the Victorian Department of Education.
About the Role:
Commencing in January 2025, this role offers an exciting opportunity to focus on developing transformative programs, building strong relationships, and assembling a dedicated team before we open the new Tech School mid-2026.
As we embark on this journey, you will play a key role in shaping our educational offerings and creating a collaborative environment that inspires both students and educators. This role will focus on developing programs that equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in an ever-evolving job market, fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. You will help bridge the gap between education and industry, ensuring our programs are relevant and responsive to the demands of tomorrow’s workforce.
Your leadership will be instrumental in laying the groundwork for a thriving educational community that prioritises innovation and real-world relevance.
This is a full-time continuing position at a HEP 7, $97,863 - $105,932 classification +17% superannuation, working 36.75 hours per week.
An example of your responsibilities or duties you may perform will include:
Strategic Program Development: Assist in leading the strategic direction of educational programs, ensuring alignment with the Tech School’s vision, secondary school curriculum, industry standards, and learning outcomes.
Innovative Program Design: Utilise design thinking principles to create and continually improve educational programs that challenge traditional practices in digital skills development and future work practices.
Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with curriculum leaders from partner schools, facilitating co-design of programs and ensuring positive experiences for students and educators through high-quality program delivery.
Leadership and Team Development: Create and lead the facilitation team, fostering a culture of mentorship and engagement, while overseeing operational planning and maintaining high standards in program delivery.
Continuous Improvement and Reporting: Analyse feedback to inform ongoing program enhancement, and manage reporting requirements for the Department of Education and relevant stakeholders to ensure accountability and transparency.

You are a dynamic and visionary leader who is passionate about education and committed to creating an environment of innovation and creativity as you launch our inaugural programs. You have strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to engage effectively with students, educators, and industry partners alike. You have a proven track record of developing and implementing educational programs that inspire and empower learners. A deep understanding of current trends in STEM, student learning, technology, and industry is essential, along with the ability to adapt and integrate these insights into the curriculum.
