We have an existing contract with our client and have rolled off the previous resource due to them taking on new opportunities. The client has asked we provide several candidates for them to consider as an immediate replacement. We are canvasing the market looking for the top 3-4 resources to put forward.

location is in Canberra with remote hybrid (1-2 days acceptable)

Baseline Security Clearance is required

Initial contract period 4 - 5 months (pending onboarding) with an additional 13 month extension option.

Rate is between $100 - $120hr including super.

About the role

SKNG Services' is seeking an experienced Data Business Analyst to join their team on a contract basis. This role will be a key part of an early-stage transformation program, supporting the delivery of critical data initiatives that will drive business performance and growth. As a contract role, this position offers the opportunity for flexible and remote work arrangements.

What you'll be doing

Gathering and documenting business requirements for data-driven projects

Translating business needs into technical solutions and specifications

Designing and optimising data models, data flows and reporting frameworks

Collaborating with IT, data engineering and analytics teams to deliver high-quality data solutions

Providing subject matter expertise and guidance to help stakeholders make informed data-driven decisions

Identifying opportunities to enhance data processes and boost operational efficiency

Participating in agile project management activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a data-focused role

Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing and business intelligence concepts

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business-friendly language

Familiarity with agile/iterative software development methodologies

Proficiency in using data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g. SQL, Power BI, Tableau)

Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Business or Analytics
