About the role

Furniture Court is seeking an experienced and proactive Inventory and Imports Manager to join our team. This is a full-time role based in our Loganholme, QLD office. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end inventory management and import operations. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal stock levels, managing supplier relationships, coordinating with freight forwarders, and ensuring compliance with import regulations. This is a critical role in maintaining the efficiency of our supply chain and meeting our members ordering requirements.

What you'll be doing

Inventory & Import Management

Manage and optimise inventory levels across all locations to ensure product availability while minimising excess stock.

Prepare, distribute, and follow up on call sheets to members featuring new products sourced from overseas buying trips.

Keep Master Product Spreadsheets updated for each member class and ensure all relevant product information is accurately reflected on the member website.

Oversee the complete import process, including ordering, container bookings, documentation, customs clearance, and freight logistics.

Liaise with international and local suppliers, customs brokers, and logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

Maintain accurate supplier and inventory records using ERP systems and conduct regular audits.

Monitor import regulations and ensure full compliance with government requirements.

Operational Support & Event Coordination

Collaborate with the Warehouse Supervisor to manage warehouse staff and coordinate daily transport runs.

Organise the bi-annual Import Product Show, including product ordering, delivery logistics, and arranging external labour for setup and pack-down.

Support the Warranty Officer as needed, including warranty processing and entering sales orders.

Compliance, Safety & Reporting

Develop and implement inventory control procedures and operational best practices.

Analyse inventory performance and provide regular reporting to senior management.

Ensure Workplace Health & Safety processes are documented, maintained, and up to date.

Act as First Aid Officer and respond to workplace incidents as required.

What we're looking for

3+ years of experience in inventory management and international importing

Strong knowledge of import regulations, documentation, and freight processes.

Proficient with inventory software and ERP systems (MYOB EXO preferred)

Computer skills including intermediate level of knowledge with MS Excel, Word and Outlook

High level of verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Team player that will be willing to go the extra mile
