Experience, Qualifications and Skills

Applicants with greater than 5 years of experience in the building services sector is desirable however all applicants are encouraged to apply as we have multiple positions available. Experience in power distribution, lighting design is essential. Knowledge of communications, fire detection, access control and video surveillance systems is desirable.

The applicant should be suitably qualified in electrical engineering and be eligible for Engineers Australia membership. Applicants registered on the National Engineering Register (NER) or who are Chartered members would be highly regarded but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading and delivering electrical engineering designs for various projects under the direction and supervision of the Project Director. You will manage engineering and CAD drafting resources to develop design and documentation from concept design through to detailed design and provide technical support during construction. Your role will also include ongoing promotion, marketing, bidding and procurement of new work and clients.

Specific roles and responsibilities include:

Undertaking electrical engineering, design, and documentation to Australian Standards and client specifications.

Working with our CAD/BIM drafting team to prepare and submit deliverables.

Liaising, communicating and coordinating with external stakeholders, other consultants and suppliers.

Preparing presentations, reports, cost estimates and compliance documentation.

Working with contractors and site personnel to address and resolve construction phase technical issues.

Attending site to inspect and witness construction works and assist in project completion.

Being actively involved in the marketing, bidding and procurement of work and clients.
