The key purpose of this position is to generate leads, build relationships through planning, implementing and directing the sales activities of the company to achieve sales objectives. To be a product expert on effective and efficient grain storage within the grain silo industry by providing existing and prospective customers with accurate technical and sales information for the company’s products and services.

Duties and Responsibilities

Generate leads and increase sales through ongoing Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

Develop Sales plans and represent HE Silos Forbes at Trade Shows, Agricultural Field Days and industry events, Conferences, and the like

Manage, maintain and monitor database which includes but not limited to – CRM and Sales modules in our proprietary ERP System

Manage and maintain scheduling, brochures, coordinating with head office management on all marketing and sales materials, filing and records.

Create and enter information into databases including but not limited to quotations, customer contacts, sales orders, and other administrative tasks.

Work with internal departments such as the Logistics and Production teams to engage audiences and clients more deeply and liaise with industry bodies.

Provide solutions and resolve, client issues through developing innovative and tailored outcomes

Research and report on relevant industry changes and market updates.

Research position in the market and market share, competitor products, product specification and pricing comparisons.

Prepare, Collect, Analyse and generate Reports, for sales marketing KPI’s, and annual, quarterly and monthly sales forecasts and revenue.

Research, oversee, coordinate and review all Field Day and Tradeshow requirements; include but not limited to promotional material, transport, site preparation, etc.

Proactively pursue new business and sales opportunities.

Plan and execute sales targets.

Develop sales strategies for the local market in collaboration with stakeholders and the management team.

Develop and leverage the customer database to achieve required commercial outcomes and sales budget.

Qualifications

Grain industry, Agronomy or agribusiness sales background is desired

Possesses current Vehicle Driver’s License

Minimum 2 years experience in sales or a sales management position preferred

Skills and Experience

Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset

A problem-solver with a solutions focused approach

Excellent verbal, written and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

An ability to create strong relationships with all customers and internal stakeholders

Dedicated, enthusiastic, driven and performance orientated

Strong organisational and time management skills

A proven ability to build strong client relationships, and negotiation skills.

Familiar with CRM, ERP, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint software systems.

Knowledge of effective sales marketing strategies.
