Accounts Payable Team Lead

Role Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Lead to join a major gold mining client of ours on a fixed term 12 month contract.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or similar preferred; equivalent experience accepted
• 5+ years of accounts payable experience required
• Mining industry experience preferred
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
• SAP (Finance module) experience essential
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Good listener with solid problem-solving abilities, able to manage conflict calmly and effectively

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee AP and Travel & Expense functions across Australian sites and regional offices
• Manage day-to-day performance of offshore service providers and local resources
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance AP/T&E efficiency
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and stakeholders to ensure compliance with standards, legal, and tax requirements
• Lead or support strategic projects to boost AP/T&E performance within Supply Chain
• Work with senior leaders to improve working capital strategies and ensure accurate supplier onboarding data
