About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef/Cook to join our team at Spitting Image Catering in Blackburn North, Victoria. As a full-time Chef/Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for off site catering events. For over 35 years, our business has specialized in 3 simple menu styles ... gourmet buffet with roasted meats and sides, canape catering and gourmet bbq - cooked on site - with sides

We provide a full catering service inclusive of food, plates, cutlery & service staff.

What you'll be doing

Preparing , cooking & catering with our skilled team of chefs. The role includes food prep at our kitchen and also on site catering at various venues around Melbourne .

A key role will be driving to functions and cooking on site for our clients . You mush have a current drivers licence and a minimum of 3 years of experience.

You will be responsible for function set up, liasing with the client upon arrival at the event, cooking & pack down.

What we're looking for

Significant experience as a Chef/Cook in a commercial catering or hospitality environment

Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious, quality meals

Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen

Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required

Proven experience in hospitality and cooking

A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene

Excellent communication with customers and staff.
