The role:

The Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy machinery, specifically loaders, to move materials within the crushing operation. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and production goals of the crushing operation are met by maintaining a steady flow of materials and assisting with equipment maintenance and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate loaders to transport materials and load/ unload materials within specified locations, ensuring optimal workflow and minimum downtime

Operation and maintenance of Mobile Equipment including servicing and cleaning, and completion of Equipment Inspection Check Sheets as required

All aspects of housekeeping including cleaning of the mobile plant, Control Room and Company vehicles, and also including clean-up of spillage within the Plant using both manual and mechanical methods

Assisting maintenance workers with maintenance and servicing of Plant and Equipment during Plant shutdowns and breakdowns

Completion of any other tasks and activities within your competency as directed by the Site Leadership Team

Assist with other machinery operations as required.

Demonstrated commitment to safety, ensuring safe and effective operation of equipment.

Operate on a dayshift, nightshift roster.

Experience & Skills Required:

Minimum 6months demonstrated previous experience performing maintenance duties within a Crushing or Processing Plant or similar Mobile Plant environment

Strong understanding of mining operations and production targets.

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to carry out work instructions and directives to provide satisfactory outcomes

Physically mobile with a good fitness level

Flexible and versatile attitude.

Essential Requirements:

Certificate III Resource Processing

RIIMPO321F Front end loader

Current Australian C Class Driver’s Licence (HR preferred).

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screen

Ability to complete online inductions and provide two recent contactable references.

Hold, or willing to obtain a National Police Clearance valid within 12 months

CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (Construction “White card”)

This role requires certain physical demands and exposure to challenging environments.

These demands may involve lifting, pushing, pulling, work at heights and other exertions associated with manual roles to support fixed plant operations

Desirable qualifications (standard mine-site mobilisation requirements):

Current MRL and/or RTIO inductions

4WD/Defensive Driving (such as RIIVEH305F: Operate and Maintain a 4WD Vehicle, RIIVEH201E: Operate a Light Vehicle)

TLIC1051 – Operate commercial vehicle

HLTAID011 – Provide first aid

CPPFES2005 – Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment

RIIWHS204E – Work safely at heights

RIIWHS202E – Enter and work in confined spaces

MSMWHS217 – Gas test atmospheres

Relevant Mobile Plant NRT:

RIIMPO338E Conduct rigid haul truck operations and/or RIIMPO337E Conduct articulated haul truck operations
