Are you an experienced operations professional with an extensive background in passenger transport or hire and have a passion for delivering exceptional service? We’re looking for a motivated Operations Manager to lead and coordinate our Hire operations based out of our Karratha Depot.

In this pivotal role, you’ll use your strong communication, planning, and organisational skills to manage wet hire operations, build schedules, allocate drivers efficiently, and ensure service excellence and compliance. You will work back to back with our Operations Supervisor of Transport.

This is a residential role and FIFO will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the coordination of buses / vehicles / equipment for both wet and dry hire, ensuring timely availability and top-quality condition of assets

Create safe, compliant, and efficient driving schedules for wet hire bus services

Monitor and ensure driver compliance with company procedures and fatigue management requirements

Professionally communicate with clients, providing updates on vehicle availability, delays and forward planning

Oversee the allocation and maintenance of hire fleet vehicles to meet client requirements

Oversee collection and timely submission of all relevant paperwork

Maintain professional communication with customers and drivers

Support the delivery of exceptional service across a major off-site bussing tender and wet hire contracts

Be on-call for after-hours operational emergencies

Work closely with the depot workshop and admin team for all dry hire operations

Develop and grow strong relationships with high-value customers

Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining a "can-do" attitude and a customer-first approach

About You:

Proven experience in passenger transport scheduling is essential

A capable and proactive supervisor with strong operational and organisational skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused under pressure

Confident using Microsoft Office programs and Outlook

Mechanical aptitude or hands-on vehicle experience (highly desirable)

Hold a clean and current C class Licence – previous bus driving experience will be highly regarded for internal training and compliance purposes

Ability to pass regular drug and alcohol testing
