About the Role

We are seeking people who have a genuine desire to support people with disabilities who have varied support needs across different services. You will provide opportunities for our participants to experience life and achieve goals through learning new skills and participating in social and recreational activities.

We have a wide range of shifts available across a seven-day roster, so shifts are flexible and so are we. Hours may vary depending on participant demand at individual sites and centres.

Key Responsibilities for a Residential Care Officer

· Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.

· Monitor residents’ physical and emotional health, reporting any concerns to relevant healthcare professionals.

· Organize recreational and social activities to promote engagement and well-being.

· Maintain accurate records and reports on residents' progress and incidents.

· Support residents in developing life skills and fostering independence.

· Liaise with families, social workers, and other professionals regarding residents' care.

· Ensure the residential environment is clean, safe, and comfortable.

· Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures to protect vulnerable residents.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Driver’s License

2. First Aid/CPR Certificate

3. National Police Check

4. Minimum of Certificate III in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support.

5. Manual Handling Training

6. NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety & You

7. NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC)

8. The Right to Work in Australia

9. COVID-19 Double Vaccination Certification
