About the role

We are seeking a passionate Child and Adolescent Psychologist to join our dedicated team at the Hunter Children's Clinics in Newcaslte, NSW. This is a permanent part-time position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and adolescents in our community.

What you'll be doing

Providing high-quality, evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions for children and adolescents with a range of emotional, behavioural and developmental difficulties

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including paediatricians, speech therapists and occupational therapists, to deliver comprehensive care

Developing and implementing tailored treatment plans to address the unique needs of each client

Conducting individual therapy sessions to support the overall wellbeing of the child or adolescent

Maintaining detailed case notes and providing progress reports to referring practitioners

Participating in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent psychology

What we're looking for

Registered as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Minimum of 2 years' experience providing psychological services to children and adolescents

Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based intervention techniques

Experience administering WISC-V, WPPSI-IV, ADOS-2, and other relevant psychometric assessments

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

A commitment to providing compassionate, family-centred care

Acceptance and validation of the particular strengths and needs of each individual engaging with our clinic
