Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychologist/Registered Psychologist

We would love you to consider joining the team at the Blue Mountains Clinic. We currently have a team of five psychologists and require additional psychologists to assist with managing the client load.

Enjoy working in a peaceful clinic with a large established referral base, with a competitive room rental rate including administration support.

Group supervision is provided for ongoing CPD points and professional development, which also provides psychologists with connection to the team.

Our clients typically present with a wide range of concerns from challenging behaviour, anxiety, mood disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, social skills difficulties, grief and loss, problems associated with family separation or family-based trauma (children in OOHC).

We currently require a psychologist preferably with experience in the assessment and treatment of ADHD, ASD and learning difficulties, as well as general child and adolescent psychology. Please note we will provide adequate training in these areas if this is required and experience is not essential.

We see the majority of our clients through GP referral, with the opportunity for clients to receive a Medicare rebate. Clients are also referred though a number of external agencies.

Essential Application Criteria:

1. Full registration with the Psychology Board / AHPRA.

2. Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).

3. Current Police Check (National Police Certificate).

4. Eligibility for a Medicare Provider Number

Preferred Application Criteria (not necessary but preferred)

1. Experience in the application and report writing utilising the ADOS 2 and ADI-R

2. Experience in a private practice setting with child and adolescent clients
