Steel Division Lead Hand & Warehouse

Here at MCM we are manufacturers and retail many materials and products for the construction industry. Our history dates back 60 years, beginning in the concrete product line.

There is an opportunity to join our Steel team here in Bellevue. It will be an advantage to have a knowledge in construction or Steel Reinforcing industry but not essential, as we will provide on the job training for the successful candidate. Ideally you will come from a previous Warehouse background and able to quickly learn new skills.

We are seeking an all-rounder mainly involved in steel division. This position has a variety of duties from Rigging & Dogging, Steel cut & bending, Forklift Driver/Operator, general warehouse.

The position starts as casual with the opportunity for Full Time Position for successful candidates

overtime, with possible half day Saturday.

Opening hours are 6.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Saturday 6.30am until 12noon every Saturday.

Ticket requirements

Forklift Licence

Rigging & Dogging (ideal but not essential)

Crane operator (ideal but not essential)

Current unrestricted driver’s licence

First Aid (not essential)

Responsibilities:

Picking and packing customer orders

Operating Hydraulic Rebar Bender

Operating Hydraulic Guillotine

Loading and unloading vehicles

Perform packaging, handling and other related shipping duties.

General Warehousing Duties – general stock control, receipting, general housekeeping

Operation of manual handling equipment (e.g. forklift, etc.)

Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support
