TRILITY is seeking a full time Electrical Engineering Design Drafter to join our dynamic Projects Solutions team based in Yatala, Queensland.

Salary: $84,000 to $94,000, excluding superannuation.

The role

As an Electrical Engineering Design Drafter, you will play a critical role in delivering detailed and accurate electrical design drawings for a range of modular solutions projects. This includes internal and external project work, and support during construction phases through the development of 'as-built' drawings. You will collaborate closely with engineers, technicians and other drafters while supporting key areas of the business, such as R&D, project delivery, and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

· Create and maintain high-quality 2D AutoCAD electrical drawings such as Single line diagrams, wiring diagrams, control diagrams and general arrangement drawings for both control and switchboards.

· Prepare initial cable and terminal schedules.

· Coordinate with other disciplines CAD drafters within the team.

· Ensure drafting standards meet TRILITY’s quality requirements and clients drafting standards.

· Preform quality checks on the drawings received from external drafting houses for compliance.

· Collaborate with construction team to prepare the AS built drawings.

· Prepare drawing submissions for various clients and adhere to their submission requirements.

· Maintain drawing files and accurate drawing register through BIM and Vault software.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of TRILITY’s drafting standards.

What we are looking for

· Several years of experience in 2D AutoCAD electrical drafting, ideally in the water industry

· Ability to read P&ID s

· Experience in reading SLD and wiring diagrams.

· Knowledge of basic wiring rules

· Knowledge in instrument wirings requirements.

· Knowledge in control circuits components like relays, contactors, Terminals, UPS and other DC control elements.

· Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes

· Knowledge of Australian Standards

· Familiarity with switchboard design and low-current systems

· Proficient in MS Excel and Word

· Diploma or higher in an engineering discipline.

· Proactive approach towards technical problem solving.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
