About the role

Join Wavefront Solutions as an Audio Visual Technician based in Melbourne and or the Mornington Peninsula, VIC. This full-time role is responsible for providing installation and commissioning works for a variety of projects across the hospitality, corporate and high-end residential market.

What you'll be doing:

Install, configure, and troubleshoot a variety of audio-visual equipment, including projectors, speakers, cameras, and video conferencing systems, security systems.

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on AV equipment in both commercial and residential settings to keep systems running efficiently

Provide on-site support and training to users on the operation of AV systems

Collaborate with the IT team to integrate AV technology with other business systems

Monitor and maintain the performance of AV systems, identify and resolve issues proactively

Assist with the planning and implementation of new AV projects and upgrades

Maintain accurate records and documentation of all AV-related activities

Working both independently and autonomously at times or in a team environment.

Cable pulling & terminations.

Mounting of various equipment including TVs, projectors, speakers, and other audio-visual components

Read and interpret schematic diagrams and drawings to effectively install and troubleshoot systems.

What we're looking for:

2-3 years of experience as an AV technician or in a similar role

Strong knowledge of audio-visual equipment, systems, and technologies. Experience or interest in Creston, Dynalite, and Q-SYS systems is a bonus!

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Good communication and customer service skills to liaise with end-users

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Must have:

Must hold a current driver’s license.

Possession of a White Card certificate.

Open Cabling licence or electrical qualifications

Security Licence is a bonus

Working with Children Check is a bonus
