About the role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Rigid Truck Driver to join our team in Newcastle, Hunter valley and central coast region. This role will see you operating heavy rigid tilt trays and Hiab trucks to deliver machinery, shipping containers, site shed, wide loads and various other equipment for the construction and mining industries.

What you'll be doing

Safely operate rigid trucks with a range of load capacities

Undertake daily pre-start checks and ensure vehicles are well-maintained

Load and unload trucks as required, using appropriate equipment and techniques

Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations at all times

Provide excellent customer service to clients during deliveries

Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle usage

What we're looking for

Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence and demonstrate experience.

Minimum 3 years' experience operating rigid trucks

Tilt Tray or Hiab experience highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of road rules and safe driving practices around the Newcastle, Hunter valley and central coast

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good problem-solving and decision-making skills

Commitment to safety and compliance

Be able to pass a pre-employment physical assessment including D&A screening
