About the role

Support Services Tasmania is seeking passionate and empathetic Disability Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis. Based in Devonport, this role will involve providing compassionate and person-centred care to individuals living with a disability.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation and community engagement

Follow client-specific support plans to help individuals reach their goals and maximise their independence

Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect

Maintaining accurate records and documentation to track client progress

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements

What we're looking for

Must be available for afternoon and occasional weekend shifts, with an immediate start preferred

A compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of people living with a disability

Relevant qualifications and/or experience in disability support, community services, or a related field

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families

The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle

Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain before employment)

Current First Aid and CPR Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
