About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at 24/7 Care Disability Services and Activity Hub as a Disability Support Worker. In this casual position based in Wyong, NSW, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Facilitating engaging recreational and social activities to promote clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional wellbeing
• Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met in a safe and compassionate environment
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalised support plans
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation to track clients' progress and support requirements

What we're looking for

• A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification
• Demonstrated experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with a range of disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to respond effectively to clients' needs
• A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting individuals with diverse needs
• A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (desirable)
