The KYD-X name is well known thanks to our charity that has hosted the popular Kids & Youth Disability Expo, where exhibitors help parents, carers and individuals make better informed choices about the support available to them, as well as Off the Floor Accessible Toilets which helps people living with a disability access proper toilet facilities at events. Due to growth in our KYD-X Support Services business, we are hiring a newly created joint role of Support Coordinator and Business Development Manager to join our team.
At KYD-X Support Services we provide NDIS Support Coordination and Specialist Support Coordination for people of all ages. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Support Coordinator and Business Development Manager has two main purposes. Half your time will be managing a group of clients’ support coordination needs to ensure they receive the right support and services. Support Coordinators are the crucial link between NDIS participants and quality services and supports. The other half of your time will be driving the growth of new clients for KYD-X Support Services through outreach, marketing, networking and relationship building.
In this new contract role (initially a 6-12 month contract), you can work from home with some flexibility in your hours. You will get to work alongside a supportive team who value team work and making a difference in our client's lives.

As a Support Coordinator, you will:
Onboard NDIS participants for Support Coordination services
Develop and maintain effective collaborative relationships with NDIS participants, families, carers, advocates, and other service providers
Match NDIS participants with compatible services, supports, and programs according to their individual needs and goals
Monitor NDIS plan outcomes and expenditure in partnership with plan managers to ensure the plan remains in budget
Provide a personalised, empathetic, and responsive service and function as the main point of contact for your client base
Provide clear and accurate record keeping of case notes, information, and billing
Assist NDIS participants with the plan review process
As a Business Development Manager, you will:
Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategies that help grow the company’s services and client base
Lead the generation of new leads for our Support Coordinators through effective marketing and outreach
Build and maintain relationships with clients and partners to ensure ongoing satisfaction with our services and team
Participate in regular networking to build up the profile of the company in the market for clients and also for future Support Coordinators
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of business strategies
Requirements:
Experience in a Support Coordination role, LAC, NDIS Planner or similar are required, or strong evidence showing your knowledge and indirect experience around the Support Coordination role
Demonstrated background in business development, marketing related activities, general administration tasks and ability to work to set tasks with tight deadlines
Qualifications in Business Development (or Sales), Community Services, Allied Health, or a disability related discipline (or working towards one) is highly regarded but not essential
We highly value applicants with lived experience of disability
Effective verbal and written communication and ability to prepare clear and accurate reports and correspondence that are appropriate for the purpose and audience
Ability to plan and manage own workload in a complex environment
High level problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure
Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people and organisations
A commitment to responsiveness and delivering a truly premium support coordination experience
A current Australian driver’s license
Working with Children Check, General Employment Probity, Vulnerable Person Related Employment and NDIS Worker Check
