Veterinary Receptionist – Saturday

Dundas Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced veterinary receptionist to fill a casual Saturday position, from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM (5 hours per week, ongoing).

We are a non-corporate small animal hospital that has been serving this community for over 30 years.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

Previous experience in a receptionist role at a veterinary or medical practice.

Positive, can-do attitude.

Excellent communication skills, including an exceptional phone manner.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently at times.

Compassion and empathy toward animals and clients, demonstrated through actions.

Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene.

A collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Punctuality and reliability.

Your duties will include:

Providing exceptional customer service, including greeting clients and assisting with enquiries.

Ensuring client and patient details are accurate and up to date.

Scheduling appointments and processing both incoming and outgoing patients.

Issuing invoices and processing payments.

Answering and making telephone calls, as well as responding to email enquiries.

Alerting a veterinarian to any emergencies that require immediate attention.

Liaising with laboratories and courier services.

Maintaining the cleanliness of the waiting room, reception area, consult rooms, and shopfront.

Remuneration is commensurate with experience and skill set.
