We are looking for a skilled and detail-focused AO7 Copyright and Report Editor to lead the writing and editorial process for three key review reports on disaster events from January to April 2025. This role plays a crucial part in delivering timely, high-quality reports and case studies that provide meaningful insights to support future disaster preparedness and response. The initial contract is until October, with previous government experience preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the writing and editorial development of three major review reports.
• Collaborate closely with the Report Writing and Editing Coordinator to ensure all reports and case studies are completed on time.
• Work with the Review Team to identify, develop, and refine content and case studies that offer actionable insights.
• Provide clear content guidelines and editorial standards to all report contributors.
• Review and edit all draft reports to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to publishing standards.
• Identify content conflicts, propose solutions, and advise the Review Lead accordingly.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to clarify information and enhance content accuracy.
• Educate and support the Review Team in best practices for professional report writing.
• Develop and implement mechanisms, in collaboration with the Report Writing Coordinator, to ensure the smooth and timely flow of materials.
• Provide constructive feedback to contributors to improve clarity, accuracy, and impact.
• Assist in identifying and managing risks or issues that could affect successful delivery of the reports, escalating where necessary.
