About this role
We are seeking a skilled IT Service Transition Manager for a fixed 12-month contract. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the transition of IT services from clients' in-house setups or vendors into our Managed Services operational support. This includes managing risks, resources, documentation, communications, and stakeholder engagement to ensure services are successfully transitioned without impacting business operations.
Your responsibilities will include managing transitions for infrastructure, applications, end-user services, or cloud-based solutions into OlympusTech Managed Services support model. Strong communication skills are critical in this position, as you will need to interact with key client stakeholders, vendors, and internal SPOCs and explain technical concepts clearly. A proactive approach to problem-solving will be invaluable as you support our team.

Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain service transition plans, timelines, and governance frameworks
Engage with project teams, business/client stakeholders, service owners, and support functions to coordinate transition activities
Ensure support models, SLAs, knowledge articles, monitoring, and maintenance plans are in place
Oversee the creation and handover of support documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base content
Identify and manage service transition risks and issues through mitigation and escalation processes
Work closely with Change and Release Managers to align transition activities with clients' release cycles
Conduct post-transition reviews to assess the success of the transition and implement improvements into future transitions
Required skills & experience
Proven experience (6+ years) in IT Service Transition and Project Delivery, or IT Service Management
Strong understanding of ITIL framework, especially Service Transition and Service Operation
Experience managing transitions for infrastructure, applications, end-user services, or cloud-based solutions
Familiarity with CMDBs, ServiceNow, Remedy, ConnectWise, and monitoring tools
Excellent stakeholder communication, conflict resolution, and documentation skills
Strong project and time management capabilities
Preferred certifications: ITIL v4 or v3 Foundation (Intermediate or Expert preferred), PMP / PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification
Place in the Business
Reporting to the Director - Strategic Accounts Services Manager, this role is part of the OlympusTech Professional Services Team.
You will work with other experienced and skilled technical team members to successfully deliver projects for our clients.
The Service Delivery Manager will work closely with you to assign you to projects and design activities. You will work with the relevant Project Managers and clients as required.
