Overview

Our client is seeking a Defence Project Manager who has extensive capability management experience and can lead and coordinate complex projects in dynamic, fast-paced environments. They will be confident working with senior stakeholders, coordinating project activities, and contributing to the delivery of strategic outcomes. The ideal candidate will be able to bring both initiative and reliability to support effective decision-making and team coordination.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience in Defence project management within complex or high-risk environments

Skilled in reporting and risk management, including the ability to produce high-quality weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports aligned with work package progress and key milestones

Familiarity with CASG processes or broader Defence capability management frameworks

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate meetings, working groups, and represent the project in stakeholder forums

Desirable Requirements

Exposure to, or understanding of, Gate 0–Gate 1 capability development phases

Knowledge of Joint operations or a demonstrated willingness to develop this understanding
