About the Role
If you have experience and a desire to work with people living with disabilities across our Canberra and Queanbeyan locations, and you can approach the role with integrity, innovation, and quality care, we would love to hear from you.
On a typical day, you will be assisting our clients to live independent and quality lives in their own homes, at work, and out in the community, including:
Helping with domestic duties, shopping, meal preparation and other housework;
Ensuring safe and hygienic living conditions in their own homes;
Assisting with activities of daily living;
Personal care, including showering, dressing, manual handling, toileting assistance, skin integrity checks, medications and wound care.
Community access out and about, and transport options;

Our ideal disability support worker must have:
A current First Aid certificate
An Australian driver’s license and a reliable and registered vehicle
An ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card or equivalent
NDIS Worker Screening Check
A national criminal history check (Police Check)
An NDIS Workers Orientation Module “Quality, Safety and You” completion certificate
Note: Please be aware that we do not guarantee a specific number of hours for employment. The duration of shifts and the level of support provided is determined by the client's individual needs and preferences. The number of hours offered might depend on willingness to work and availability.
