This established financial planning firm in Parkville is offering a rare opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Senior Client Services Manager to take the next step toward becoming an Adviser. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on in the advice process and is ready to progress into an Associate Adviser position, with the view to commencing their Professional Year.
You will be joining a collaborative, forward-thinking team that delivers strategic, goals-based advice to a wide range of clients — from first-time investors and busy professionals through to business owners and retirees. The firm is known for its commitment to quality, ethics and long-term relationships, and for investing in the development of its people.
The business has a strong track record of supporting career progression and will provide the structure, training and mentoring needed to transition you into advice. You will be working closely with highly experienced Advisers and Paraplanners, building both technical and strategic capability as you move into more client-facing responsibilities.
Your role will include:
Managing the end-to-end implementation of financial advice across superannuation, investment, insurance and cashflow
Liaising with product providers and following up on outstanding items to ensure advice is implemented accurately and efficiently
Preparing client reviews, conducting modelling in Xplan and generating supporting documentation for client meetings
Entering file notes, updating records and ensuring all advice files are compliant and complete
Drafting SOA and ROA requests and working closely with internal Paraplanners to deliver timely advice
Attending client meetings with Advisers, capturing actions, and contributing to the development of advice strategies
Using Xplan, Risk Researcher, WealthSolver and Xtools+ for product research, comparisons and modelling
To be considered, you will need:
Prior experience in a financial planning firm in a CSO, Associate or Paraplanner role
Completed or working toward a relevant degree that meets FASEA requirements
Strong understanding of advice implementation processes and platforms
Excellent attention to detail, time management and written communication skills
A genuine commitment to developing your career in Financial Planning and undertaking your Professional Year
You will be supported by a structured internal training program, as well as mentoring from senior team members who are invested in your success. One day per week working from home is available once established in the role.
