The Role:

Are you an experienced payroll professional looking to bring your expertise to a supportive team? We are on the hunt for a Payroll Advisor who can sprinkle some charm and precision into our payroll processes.

As our Payroll Advisor, you'll be at the heart of our payroll operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You will;

Be the master of end-to-end payroll services, from maintaining the system, to processing timesheets, leave, and payroll adjustments.

Be the go-to person for interpreting our Certified Agreement, Awards, and Council policies. Your expert advice will guide employees, leaders, and stakeholders through the payroll maze.

Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of payroll data, supporting system updates and audits like a true data guardian.

Generate and analyse payroll reports to support decision-making, compliance, and audits. Your insights will be invaluable!

Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance payroll processes, procedures, and systems. Efficiency and accuracy are your middle names!

To be successful in this role, you will be a:

Payroll Guru: Thorough understanding of payroll processes, Certified Agreements, Awards, and relevant legislation, with the ability to interpret and apply them accurately.

Communication Pro: Strong communication skills with a focus on quality customer service. You can interact effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders from across Council.

Numeracy Ninja: High level of numeracy, attention to detail, and proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., Aurion), electronic records management (e.g., ECM), and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Organisational Whiz: Demonstrate an ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with strong administrative and organisational skills.

Confidentiality Expert: Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion while dealing sensitively with people and payroll matters.
