We’re excited to launch our Rider Academy — a unique opportunity for passionate and motivated individuals to start their careers with Australia Post, even if you don’t yet have a motorcycle licence.

Whether you're wrapping up school, exploring a new path, or returning to work — and if you're planning to get your motorcycle licence or already have your L’s — this is your chance to kickstart a career with real growth and long-term potential.

Your home base will be Leightonfield, but if successful, you could work across multiple sites for the first 3 months with the opportunity to work across various postie roles until you're licensed!

Your New Role – Motorcycle Postie with a Purpose

As a Postie, you’ll be delivering on our motorcycle as the friendly face of our trusted service. At the heart of your community, you'll connect Australians every day and make a real impact — all while developing your skills and shaping your future.

What makes this opportunity different?

• Got your L's already? Great! Don't have your learners just yet? No worries! If you’re successful, we will guide you on how to get them before you start and will reimburse the cost as part of our Rider Academy program!
• While training, you will gain experience across other roles such as walking or electric bicycle delivery until you’re licensed.
• You’ll be matched with a Rider Mentor and a supportive team to back you every step of the way.
• Join to ride, stay to progress your career - if you have leadership ambitions, we'll support your long-term development towards them

You’ll Be:

• Starting early in the morning, sorting mail and small parcels with your teammates
• Performing daily safety checks on your vehicle
• Delivering mail and parcels on your bike, rain or shine, to homes and businesses
• Flexible to work across multiple sites as needed
• Learning, growing, and making your mark with ongoing mentoring and leadership development

What You’ll Need:

• A passion for learning and a strong sense of commitment
• Commitment to completing the licensing process with our support
• Physical fitness to lift up to 16kg regularly and meet our safe weight requirements (under 100kg)
