About the role

In your role as a Service Technician at Packweigh, you will be responsible for providing technical support, repairs, maintenance and installation of new equipment for a range of packaging equipment used in various industries such as stockfeed, seed and grain, chemicals, fertilisers and food products. The role will involve both, time in the workshop as well as at customer's sites in Queensland and interstate.

What you'll be doing

Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues to identify and resolve problems on semi and fully automated packing equipment.

Conducting preventative and corrective maintenance and repairing our full range of equipment

Providing technical support and advice to customers on equipment we have provided

Carrying out installation and commissioning of new equipment

Collaborating with the wider team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar technical role

Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to effectively troubleshoot and repair equipment

Effective communication skills to liaise with customers and provide clear technical guidance

A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to customer sites as required
