Fire Services Tester – Full-Time

HARTEC FIRE SYSTEMS PTY LTD is seeking a dedicated and skilled Fire Services Tester to join our growing team in Brisbane. In this essential role, you'll be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, portable fire equipment, and passive fire protection measures, ensuring compliance and safety across our clients' sites.

What You'll Be Doing

Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire alarm panels, emergency lighting, fire doors, and associated equipment

Identify and troubleshoot faults or performance issues

Liaise with clients to coordinate and schedule testing and maintenance

Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards and regulatory requirements

Maintain accurate documentation for all inspections, testing, and repair work

Provide technical advice and support to clients when needed

What We're Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

Trade qualification or relevant experience in fire protection

Proven experience in testing and maintaining fire alarm and safety systems

Licensing (Minimum Requirements)

QBCC Licence: Inspect & Test – Fire Alarm Systems and Emergency Lighting
OR

QLD Electrical Mechanics Licence

Additional Licences (Advantageous)

QBCC Licence: Install & Maintain – Fire Extinguishers (training available for the right candidate)

QBCC Licence: Inspect & Test – Fire Doors and Passive Fire Systems (training available)

Key Skills

Strong technical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication and client liaison skills

Ability to work independently and within a team

Commitment to WHS practices

Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle

Minimum 5 years of industry experience.
