Emanate Technology have partnered with a Brisbane based enterprise client to add an Engineering Manager to their team. A recent restructure has had the existing leader move on to another role in the business - while still being close enough to this team to help support an easy transition.

This role is for a leader who can bring an in depth technological acumen into a heavily people focused management position. Balancing the internal needs of the team, along with the incoming needs of the wider business is key to the success in this environment. The right candidate will have strengths in allocating resources, balancing business priorities and stakeholder management. Additionally there is a strong focus on building and supporting the team through career development, training and performance management.

Supported by Technical Leads within the team, the focus of Engineering Manager will be to empower the Developers and Leads on the technology front. Bringing a breadth and depth of knowledge of Full Stack technology that allows them to contribute to and drive all manner of conversations, planning and implementation processes, the right candidate will naturally lead the team through both day to day and major project challenges. Drawing from extensive experience, this role will also define standards and guide rails for the team to ensure effective outcomes for the business.

Management Requirements:

• 7+ Years experience in Software Development
• Well developed understanding of Agile methodology
• Confident and effective communication
• Experience coaching software developers
• Work history in multi-disciplinary teams
• Internal stakeholder management experience
• Capability in coaching and guiding the team

Technology Requirements:

• Java or C# or Node or Python or PHP
• Javascript
• React or Angular
• AWS or Azure
• CI/CD
